The ShearSharp Sharpener is designed to sharpen general purpose scissors, hedge clippers, tin snips, etc. It is engineered so that it planes the flat edges of the blades. When used the two edges that meet become dull when they roll. By planing the two edges flat you achieve two crisp edges again. The full length finger guard protects your fingers and is handy for use by left or right handed use.
